I was on Facebook marketplace and I saw these 2 items, a pair of Kenwood KL 777z 4 way speakers and a Kenwood KA 7100 amplifier all for 450.00, are these worth it? The seller is offering to demonstrate and play for the buyer.

Like many mainstream audio companies, Kenwood made some good electronics.
Their speakers, not so much.

If not a far drive only your ears can say whether worth the asking price.

The KA-7100 is a very fine integrated amplifier, purchased one new in 1978 I believe it was. They can often be found for about 1/2 that price on eBay in good condition, just have to ask yourself if you feel the speakers are worth the remainder.

The amp is a nice piece, I have it's cousin the KA-701. I had a friend that had the speakers for a short time, not much bass for such a big woofer, and the highs are like fingernails on a chalkboard.
