Well stupid is stupid does..o_O
Cleaning around my system today while it was playing i bumped the positive wire off my speaker crossed the negative wire and it killed the left channel on my Rotel RB-930AX power amplifier!!.:(
Now the question, does this amp have a safety system just foe stupid moves like this?
Seems my Rotel stuff is slowly betting bumped off.

You may have gotten lucky. On the main board check F601 with a multimeter --Left channel output fuse. (AX model) might not be in the X model. I'm not at all familiar with Rotel.

Yes i hope it does, very nice detailed sounding amp.
Just scored another off Ebay for $85.00 shipped, i couldn't turn it down as i was planning on running two in the future anyway.
Right now i have a huge Denon power amp with A speaker block gone runs on B.
Sounds good but not like the little Rotel.

Yes:banana: blown fuse..
I was surprised how much real estate and how few homes are is in this amp.
I could rebuild this thing drunk, glad i ordered another one.
Now find the fuse since Radio Shack is gone i have to order on line..

Not out of the woods yet..Until you try a new fuse and get undistorted audio.

Well thanks for smashing my Dancing Banana!! :(
Just kidding, yes my luck does suck on simple problems..
I could swap the fuses right to left?
This is the first amplifier that makes me feel confident enough to rebuild if needed.
It's so simple looking of a layout without looking like a google earth image of Las Angeles.
I ordered a box of fuses online.

Did the same thing with my Conrad-Johnson MF2300A amp. In my case took out the fuse but also a couple of the output MOSFETS. Fixing that was an expensive exercise I'd rather not repeat.

Lets see if i skate by with the fuse...
But again i have never seen such an easy layout in an amp in my life as this one.
As quote from GEICO "So easy even a Cave Man can do it".

Has the old fuse blackened inside? If so i've found that to be a sure sign of a much more serious issue (blown transistors ect)

On a side note, I've shorted the terminals on my Yamaha PC2602 numerous times by accident whilst it was playing pretty loud, it didn't even go in to protection.

No just the usual blown wire disconnected inside the fuse.
No nasty excitement.
I went to every place noted to find a fuse all had long fuses or no glass fuses at all.
I just ordered a pack should be in today or tomorrow.
