I was pretty excited to see this garrard/klh suitcase stereo, but it did not have a cord, no biggie, well I was wrong. I read thru thread after thread on the interweb about this being hard to find and nothing else fits it.

Being the determined person I am, I found a guy with a Model 15 turntable and in the pic was the cord I needed. He was wanting 25.00 BIN and 25.00 for shipping. OUCH. I don't want to pay $50.00 just to see if this works.

He agrees to send me the cable for 23.00. I let you guys know if it works.

simple enough to hard wire a cord into that one.

Yeah, but it is very original and I would not want a cord alway sticking out the butt of the suitcase.

Got the power

I received the power supply. It is pretty unusual with an on and off switch on the power supply. I plugged it in and everything worked great.

I like that it has an aux in so I can also play pandora/ipod through it. I'll be taking to a vintage camper rally. It should be a lot of fun to play some music to set the mood.

I've always liked those Eleven suitcase players (well, all of the KLH systems really). That one looks like it's in really nice condition but the photo is way too small to see.

Back in the early and mid 60's I'll bet those units were in many college dorms spinning lots of folk music albums!
