They were and still are nice little speakers, from the mid 90s.
They came in two colours finishes , Black and white.
They can be used in a stereo mode configuration, or, rear surround, or, in a 7.1 or 9.1 applications, your choice.

buy a musical fiedity A1 amplifier and a decent cd player from marantz , you have a complete stereo . jaw droppingly sweet and pretty powerful for the size .

They were the bottom of the line for Klipsch's KG line, but I love them. When I bought my pair one of the speakers would toast a tweeter diaphragm instantly so I recapped the crossovers with a kit from Crites. They sound awesome for what they are. They blow away my non-restored KG-1's despite a smaller woofer and cabinet. The only thing I don't like is the spring loaded terminal clips! I think they are the mark of a cheap speaker and these are the only one from the KG line to use them. I'm still looking but I've yet to find a suitable terminal cup with 5 way/banana binding posts that are an easy swap. Still love the tiny .5's though. White was a factory color, I would take a guess and say they were designed for an outdoor setup? Underneath a deck or awning or something similar? Enjoy them though. Can't believe the prices they are going for (or being asked for) on the bay.
