Krups Coffee Grinder

I got a coffee grinder which I ordered a day after ordering some coffee beans, so that when my coffee grinder arrived, I’d have some beans ready to grind in it. Well, just as I had started to type this thread, about the grinder being here but no beans yet, the beans were posted through my letterbox (not bean by bean though:rflmao:). I got some Italia Plus beans from The Black Bag Coffee Co.

Grinding your own beans can have a dramatic effect on your espresso brewing process. After my first stepped grinder stopped working, I upgraded to a prosumer stepless grinder called Mazzer Mini (shown below), and I am amazed at how a minor grind size change can make a difference.

Let us know how it went when you threw the beans in.

Been looking for a decent grinder, but without much success. Would like to stay under the $100 range, a bit over if need be. I want to avoid the blade machines!

Ours is starting to give out, and has always been a messy one to work with.

Using Keurig on a day to day basis and drip-type for batch use.

It went very well. I set the grind size too fine for my cafetière at first because when I tried to press the plunger down, it took ages and was really difficult. I just went a bit coarser and left it when it worked better. I also tried to grind some brazil nuts from a packet of shelled nuts but it wouldn’t grind. I might try different sizes, perhaps the coarsest setting. It’s quite satisfying grinding coffee beans. I got a nice steel insulated cafetière which is better and nicer looking in my opinion, than the glass type. I’m quite pleased with the grinder.
