L-Pad Question: How much wattage?

I am replacing 4 L-pads in my newly aquired DLK 2's and I was wondering what L-pads would be best. Partsexpress has a 15w and 50w versions -- I assume since most of the overall wattage is going to the woofer, I would be safe with a 50w for the mid-range and a 15w for the tweeter? I am sure this speaker was originally not rated for more than 100w total, but I don't know.

The price of the 50w Lpad is significant -- $9 a pop, perhaps its overkill all the way around, but I have no idea.

I buy the 100 watters from Madisound for around $5, they also carry the 15 watt for less than $3, and 50 watt for less than $8. I only use 100 watters for my Altecs in a 2-way design, plus I have the space to fit them in the crossovers. I think it'd be wise to stick with at least the 50's if you have the space, maybe others will have another opinion, Dave. :scratch2:

What you said, 50 w for mid, 15 w for tweeter will be fine, and more than adequate for a spkr rated 100 w.

For something like A7's intended for high power usage, 100 w L-pads only.
