Least Fav Christmas Tunes?

All of them.

Ayup. ESPECIALLY "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas"...My 1st cousin attended this chi-chi private school in Knoxville, & I HAD to attend a LOT of the functions of said Chi-Chi school. Family obligations, & all, y'unnerstand.. One of these was their Gala Christmas Music Event, where EVERY class-K-12-, had their OWN choir/ensemble. And they each had 3,4 songs. The Upper School had not only the regular separate grade level choirs, they had "special" ones, too. This was like a 1.5-2 hour MARATHON, watching other people's children do/sing Grand & Wonderful things...In an auditorium that was at least 85 degrees. And I'm in a coat & tie.. I think I musta heard "Have Yrself" at least a dozen times..Which was a good 2 dozen times more than I wanted to, if you know what I mean. At least I DIDN'T have a Horrible "Crap-Cramp"....But that was the only thing. Finally left Knoxville 11.30 PM, got home around 1 AM, had to be at work by 8... I BEGGED my uncle NOT to make me go again the next year, & he agreed. I love my 1st cousin & all, but enuff is ENUFF..(grin)

Can't stand any rock Christmas tunes from 1970 on . . . they sound so contrived.

I know it's been said, but I also hate them all. However, that being said, a few of them send me searching for razor blades:

Anything with excessive slow singing with exaggerated vibrato; "Have yourself..." comes to mind...

And my all time least favorite- "Hey Santa" by the Wilson Sisters... God that sticks in my head and makes me wanna go apeshit with a ballbat in the store.

As "Madge" has gotten older-Don't tell anyone, but the Material Girl's 54- her "Santa Baby" gets evermore sadder & sadder, just like Madge herself...

Re: Santa Baby. There are two records of this tune I like, both by the only vamp sultry enough to sing the tune right. Eartha Kitt. Her first Santa Baby is terrific, but Next Year's Santa Baby pours on the sultry vamp. It's superior to the original.

Songs which make me want to throw carts at control room walls:

The Christmas Shoes
Mariah Carey Christmas (I'd rather listen to test tones)
Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer (especially the Epic re-recording)

My deal with Christmas music is there are so many wonderful songs out there that radio stations could play a different one from November 1st 'til December 26th without repeating a single song. Instead stations choose to play about 25 of them, for whatever reason, over and over and over. I love Christmas music and I won't start listening myself until December 1st. And pretty much any contemporary/pop christmas song is without heart, emotion and Christmas spirit. That said, there are exceptions, but these of course never get played on pop radio stations. Here are some (a very small list) that when I hear them I change the station:

Paul McCartney
John Lennon
Jose Feliciano
Bruce Springsteen
Madonna
Beach Boys
Mariah Carey...

and the list goes on.

:uzi:Grandma got run over by a reindeer is by far the most horrible, overplayed, piece of crap Christmas tune ever!
Whenever I find a copy I buy,and then DESTROY it,so it can never again plague anyones ears.

A few favorites, if pushed, but can't say I have a least-favorite Xmas-oriented/focused number. Well, so maybe "G-d rest ye merry gentlemen" qualifies?
