I saw Les Paul's speakers today as well as some other gear in Rockford Illinois. The story on how they got to Rockford is in this link. http://www.soundsclassic.com..
Mods, I realize there are some prices here but I'm hoping maybe the thread can stay hear so people will see it. If not I understand. I'm not trying to get away with anything.
I heard the Altecs at low volume and they were impressive to say the least. I'm not sure if they were hooked up to one of the Macs or not. I have to go back up to Rockford next week and will try to get photos.

Basically "father of the electric guitar" was he not? Gotta respect his taste in "loud"speakers.

Musician's are huge fans of Les Paul he was one of our pioneers.
He has not had much in the way of play time for 50 years or so
it hardly a surprise anyone outside of this world did not know much about him.
But thanks to YouTube we can listen to Les Paul, and his wife Mary Ford,
including outtakes from the Les Paul & Mary Ford At Home TV
which ran for one year 1954-55. It is sad for us at least that the couple had a really, really
nasty divorce in 1963 that ended any joint performances.

Les Paul's biggest contribution to the music recording world,
the Electric Guitar not with standing, is multi-track recording

I was surprised at the prices received for the his Guitars, I would have thought they would have gone for more money.

I guess I just take some things for granted. It seems to me everyone should know who Les Paul was.

I love Les Paul's work.
My wife and I were listening to Les Paul and Mary Ford last night on vinyl.
If I had hit the numbers on my Powerball tickets last night I would be owning that collection of his gear.
