These are some weird Pioneer knock-off of their own product. Made in 1980 (according to serial numbers), I am adding L-pads because the mid and tweeter are way too bright... and I've stripped the vinyl... So either another vinyl wrap or wood veneer..... thoughts on design???

Matter of taste but paint is another option. Some pretty durable finishes out there and seen some remarkable finishes.. Might post a link or transfer to speakers.

If they sound good enough to put the money into then veneer would be the nicest. If you're in the mood to experiment then vinyl wrapping could turn out really cool.

If youre interested in a vinyl wrap I might be willing to make one for you for free if you don't mind covering the shipping. I haven't tried wrapping a speaker yet but it sounds like a cool idea. I've made some wraps for things like my file cabinet, desk top, microwave etc... I don't know the rules but I'm not trying to sell anything so hopefully this isn't breaking any lol. Payment would be sending me nice pictures afterwards :) PM me if interested.

Gotta a little ahead of you.... This is my Marantz HD88's that has an awful vinyl woodgrain... used some flat black from vvivid......

If we were to go gloss black, the prep work would have to be perfect right??
