Like root beer floats?

A friend at work just shared this recipe:

Vanilla ice cream, a good quality root beer, and Myers Rum.

Haven't had the chance to try it out yet, but boy, does that sound delicious!

Man, I'm sorry, but alcohol mixed with root beer and ice cream does NOT sound particularly appealing to me. But, then, I can't take sweet stuff with alcohol anyway.

Another non-alcoholic treat in the same vein as a rootbeer float, is a float made with 7up and rainbow sherbet. It's nice and fruity and fresh tasting! Never tried it with vodka though.

one nite while i was drinking yrs ago , i made a drink for the girl i was with at the time.
it was a party we had every fri nite from 4 pm till when ever the booze was gone or the cops after about 50 or so visits. yea im not kidding either.

any ways, lol i got some root beer, ice, coffee brandy, an cholacate ice cream thrown it all in a blender. it was an instant hit! i made it for the next 7 yrs, every fri it was the ladies drinks lmfao. tasted smooth an the alachol was just enough to give it a frosted drunk freeze.


fill blender half chipped ice- 3 or 4 scoops of ice cream, half coffee brandy, an half root beer. this a little thicker would also make a delis adult dessert after dinner.

this my friends is what i named the drunk jimi float years ago lol
