Have always had a fascination for radios. It all began when I was about 7 years old. My Dad got me a set of Soundesign Walkie Talkies, around age 10 I got an AM FM Shortwave radio from Sears, at age 15 I got a Bearcat III Police Scanner and then at 16 I got a CB radio. After college I joined the Army. I was a 31 Victor-Tactical Radio Systems Operator and Mechanic. I was assigned to work on the Radio and Intercom Systems on the M1 Battle Tank and the Bradly Fighting Vehicle. In 1990 I took the Army SQT test. It was a general job knowledge test. I scored a 99% which was the highest score in the brigade. I don't not repair or troubleshoot civilian radios. It is a totally different world. But I do have a collection of receivers. I enjoy listening to Shortwave and other radio programs. Not into modern technology and bluetooth yet.
