Looking for a cassette tape player

Looking for a Cassette tape player to match my Sony STR-6046A. I would like to stick with Sony just to match brands. However, my turntable is a Pioneer that is silver looking. That being said...

What are some good Cassette tape decks that are silver looking?
I will just be playing tapes, no need to duplicated anything.

I love pretty much anything Sony, but their silver tape players are hard to find a good deal on. I have two Hitachi D-720 two head decks and they both sound incredible. I have more sought after decks but the Hitachi is the one I have in my main system. They can be found under $100 and easy to work on.

I've bought most of my tape decks locally and the sellers had lot's of equipment for sale, so look over the listing carefully or inquire about tape decks, some people still think they are worthless. There was a time when they always had a few at Goodwill but I think they go through the auction site now. I did get a nice Onkyo at Salvation Army a couple years ago for a few bucks the other thrift stores might still put them on the floor.

I've never seen a Hitachi around here, they tend to be very rare and the Pioneer shown above probably goes for close to a grand and won't be an easy local find. Silver-faced Sonys are also kind of rare, they just didn't have the market share of others for some reason. I don't think that receiver had a "matching" tape deck except maybe a horizontal style deck?

Consider the Sony TC-K71. Fairly simple to work on and sounds quite good. Popular, therefore lots of them around. Fits your receiver fairly well, and because it has three heads, you can monitor your recording as you make it. I really like that feature.

The Sony STR-6046 is a beautiful receiver, it was released in 1973, right after the STR-6036. Are you looking for a tape deck from that time, mid 70s?
