The advice I'm looking for isn't geared toward home listening, but not really pa level either. I'm looking to start doing small boutique style art/music events and I'm looking for some advice on building a setup to accommodate. I own a somewhat decent pa, (electrovoice force 215's, jbl subs, Samson crossover power amps and eq) and I have listened to higher end PA's, but haven't been incredibly impressed until it's completely out of my price range. However I have been extremely impressed with past HiFi setups that I've owned. So basicly, I have a vision of putting together some tube monoblocks and some HiFi speakers to accommodate a room size of 20'x26' and possibly 20-25 people at the most (not loud screaming people). I'm not asking to build a club environment out of hifi stuff, what I am asking is this a pipe dream on less than 5k budget? I'm not looking for massive spl's, but really more sonic quality and sound stage.
