Looking for transformer advice.

I just ordered a Chinese "study" of a Kondo M77. I only ordered the PCB with resistors and caps installed, which I may swap out for more boutique parts after I have it up and running. I'm probably going to fab a chassis myself, but I'm gonna need some iron for this guy. I'd like to source the transformer locally, (as in US), but I'm hazy on the particulars. If anyone has any suggestions I'd welcome them.

Here's the listing I bought;

And I have to love the updated "engrish" description. I'm so very glad they included "the old gold-plated gallbladder seat" :rflmao:

I don't think you'll find a single transformer with all necessary windings. Antek's AS-1T250 would handle everything but the 6.3V 2A requirement, which would be pretty easy to fulfill with another small transformer from Antek or elsewhere.

That's exactly what a friend, who's giving me a hand with the project, has stated. Are there any advantages or disadvantages to going toroidal over a traditional block transformer? There is actually a transformer made pretty much exactly for this board with all the needed taps...but I forgot my Aliexpress password and it's a right pita to get that figured out.

The image isn't legible, but an Antek AN-0206 would work for the remaining heater supply.

Toroids usually have better regulation than conventional EI core types at a given VA rating, which isn't much of an advantage for preamps. In this case, the 100VA Antek product also has a Faraday shield, which is especially worthwhile for preamp construction.

I leaned towards an Antek AN-1206, but that was of course due to the fact that I forgot to double up the amperage per output. Thanks again. I have no idea why the screencap was so reduced in quality. I will go with a 1T250 and a 0206.
