Lost my little pal.

Hey atarione, thanks I remember telling you kinda the same thing, as I recall you were pretty adamant about not getting another kitty for a while, sometimes fate intervenes,(or karma). She is a pretty looking kitty & she's Cardigan approved so there you go. Pioneer 54 my computer got corrupted lost a lot I'll see if I have something & post it. Thanks again everyone!! John

I'm going to give the shelter for abandoned/abused animals a call, pretty soon. Thanks again. John

Might I suggest two of them? It'll take a lot to fill the void left by your little friend's passing. Our condolences, John.
Regards, Bob & Patty

20 years. . :tears: . Time for a new kitty !! .

Oldest cat I ever had lived to be 21.I have two Siamese that are 13 and 14,I know they don't have that much longer to go.In October,a stray black kitten wandered into my house. He could not have been more than a month old.It was sort of a sign, hell maybe it was my recently dead mother come back.I don't know.I kept him,of course, but he is really a handful, more than "grandma",and "grandpa" here can handle.

So sorry for your loss.

Three months ago our 14 year old, Sophie. Had major surgery to remove a cancerous tumor that had blocked her intestine. We wondered if it was the right decision for her. She has made a remarkable recovery and is more playful than I've seen her in some time. Every time she curls up in my lap and purrs it affirms that we made the right decision. She's not cured, she still has cancer that will take her away long before we're ready. In the meantime, every moment we spend together is precious.

It is hard. I know. Sometimes harder than losing people. It takes me quite a while before I stop getting that empty feeling when I think of them to where I can smile and remember fondly. It does happen though. Meanwhile time to go to the local shelter and audition some kitty cats! Don't try to get a replacement. You never get the same cat twice. Get the one that makes you smile.
Rob

I really miss her, I keep expecting her to greet me when I come home, and demand to be fed. I'll probably go to the shelter this weekend, I really hate those places, although I do understand the need for them. To DougMac best to Sophie, give her a little rub from me. Thanks all, John

Its tough losing a pet.
We had a 17 year old dog "General Custer" who had a little blonde beard. It been 5 or 6 years and I still find myself looking for him at the places he used to sit when he got older.
I miss that little dog.

Went through the same ordeal three years ago this coming summer. Went to
the restaurant with my mother, with the cat resting quietly on his favorite pillow
in the kitchen, and he was gone when we came home. We did bury it very close
to his birthplace, the spot is marked by a beautiful stone painted by my mother.

People may laugh at this kind of rite, but it sure brings good memories to know
your pet is resting near you. Good luck, and may you find another friend to share
your love when the time is right.

Sorry to hear that J. We lost our dog this past summer. The house is not quite the same since. You must be an artist. Only artist live in Madrid:D
