MA2275 and KT88-TII Psvane tubes ?

I am considering mentioned tubes , but...
Last time I used chinese KT88-Z Shuguang tubes it resulted in damaging one of amplifier boards and quite few $.
Anyone uses these tubes in 2275 for longer than month , how they compare to Z's , I loved them till the brokedown

Be careful here. Chuck @ Mc once told me that Mc "wouldn't warranty the product if other than Mc tubes were used." With that said, that was about 5 years ago. You might want to check with the factory. :yes:

Warranty is no longer an issue , I swapped MAC tubes for Gold Lion long time ago and Shuguangs were even better (as long as they worked) . If I were to use Mcintosh tubes only I would rather sell amplifier , I don't like them at all.
Anyone tried Psvane in their Mac?

I have a pair of MC75 90th Anniversary amps. I have Shuguang Treasure KT88s in them and have had them for about 2 years. I got them from Grant Fidelity and they are the best KT88s I've had. I have the Gold Lion remakes too.

PS - Shuguang Treasure are not made and now they are branded as Psvane

I picked up a quad of Psvane 6CA7 tubes for a Quicksilver GLA a few years back and one of them died after a little over a year, which was basically the warranty period plus one month.

At almost $200/tube, I expected better.

That's my worry when it comes to chinese tubes , poor assembly and quality control at the manufacturing stage .Most of the faults happening after fairly long run and no matter how you test tubes is not possible to pick weak ones , most of faulty tubes I had experienced problems with screen grid .But I need to mention Russian tubes , never have had any problems with these .

I have a Psvane 12AX7 in the V1A/B position of my MC240 and I like what it does there. I have not tried it in other positions or purchased any more at this time. I want to see how it holds up first. The sound is really great though as that tube and position on the MC240 seems to really change the sound characteristics of that amp for the better.

Did you try any NOS tubes in this position? For me when it comes to 12ax7/Ecc83 there is only one option Telefunken smooth plates , and I have tried lot of different tubes , no experience with Psvane though

Yes the Psvane tube replaced the Telefunken smooth plate that was in there. I did hang on to the Telefunken tube in case the Psvane does not hold up. The Tele is my second favorite tube in that position of the amp. I have about 9 Telefunken smooth plates in my collection. I am just not sure how much life is left in them since I have no way to test them. They have all been used in classic McIntosh amps and preamps, that is all I know about their history.
