To express it better, McIntosh players tend to much better sound quality than their Denon cheaper cousins. Also, mechanisms tend to be superior quality and build quality is much better. I like the McIntosh styling much better than the Denons. It fits in with my vintage gear. Denons to me seem less substantial but also a lot less money. The McIntosh remote controls are also much better than the Denon ones.
I dont think you could of said this any worse. It is all about personal taste. Is mcintosh better then Denon? the answere is if you think it is, then it is. Depends on what model. Denon is a very fine company that is more advance if you want to even call it that way. They have more formats, for specs that are out now, were mcintosh holds back. To say mcintosh sounds better is a statement that is yours, not fact, and to say such, is silly. As far as remotes go, mcintosh has always fallen behind compaired to other products in the same price range. Try to keep your opions as that opions, not stating facts that you are not qualified to make.
as to the OP, I bet you would be best served to listen to both, and I bet you might come to see you will like denons prod, well, and you might even save a crap load of money. REMEMBER IT IS ALL ABOUT WHAT YOU LIKE, NOT OTHERS. spend your money smart, because in the end, after a few days with it, you wont know if one sounds better then the other, dont get traped in the i have to spend thousands of dollars for good sound, Its a joke, I spent over sixty thousand for my system, and you know what, for what, i watch movies, I could of saved a crap load of money and been just as happy. Buy smart. and go with what you hear, in the end, its all just wasted money and dead tech, because they will always come out with something better as soon as you buy it. just my half of cents worth,
