I want to know if anyone have heard or know the value of a pair of decent condition working Marantz 2 monoblock pair. The owner said it hasn't been completely restore, only replaced 2 capacitors that went bad (I will get more info about that later). How is it compare sonically to Mcintosh MC240 and MC275. I got a vintage MC275 recently and have been unimpressed with it. Maybe because I was chasing after it for too long, and the build up kinda ruin it for me.
For vintage tube amp, I have been interested in Marantz for a while, so this is a good chance for me. I don't care too much about cosmetic, more about the sound. Out of all the monoblock, 2, 5 and 9, what should I go for? I know they are all EL34 based so not quite sure what is the different between those model.
