I picked up a marantz 2240 and the dial lights are all out. Im going to replace them with the fuse type bulbs. Could someone tell me if 8V 250mA bulbs will work ok? I was going to use white led but radio shack has none so if im ordering bulbs im just going to order the oem style. Thanks guys

I think universally that 8V/250mA bulbs will melt the bulb housing, or so I have read. You should stick with the 8V/200mA to be safe.

Alright I was kind of figuring that. Im just going to bite the bullet and get some led lamps. Sounds like a good project anyway. Thanks for your reply before I melted my new to me Marantz.

I just did that on my 2250. But I went with fuse-bulbs, and since the housing was so out of shape (literally), I didn't worry about softening it anymore. I agree with you, it was a good project! Definitely improved my soldering skills ;-)

Have fun! And take some pictures in the process!
