Marantz 8b - 4 Ohm vrs. 8 ohm tap - power or Freq Response loss?

Has anyone had experience using an 8b’s 4 ohm tap with 4 ohm speakers? In comparison with the 8 ohm tap has experienced a power loss or loss of high end using the 4 ohm tap? I heard that the top end rolls off a bit.

I'm currently using a set of 8 ohm speakers with my 8b and may purchase a set of 4 ohm speakers to use with the 8b set at 4 ohms if there's no significant performance difference.

Thanks

Why not consider purchasing a 16 ohm pair of speakers?
All things being equal, they will sound better on that 8b

Don't believe every rumor you hear.
I'd expect the 8b to sound phenomenal on all taps. The amps which I own which it would be in competition with at the time all sound fantastic on every tap.
The circumstances that led a user to experience that condition with his amplifier will be unknown. I'm calling hogwash, buy the speakers and enjoy em.
