Marantz deck guidance

I want to get into the world of tape, so what's the consensus on Marantz cassette decks around AK? I like the 50xx series, mostly for the look (and the big VU meters). :drool: I'm leaning toward the 5025 or 5030, good idea or bad idea? I specified a Marantz deck, that's what the rest of my gear is, but other suggestions are welcome. :thmbsp:

I have the two head 5025 and it's a pretty nice deck. The 5030 is nicer with three heads. The 5200 and 5220 decks are more styled like your 2235B. Those a very nice too.

Expect to replace belts.

The 5220 is an excellent choice, also.

I have a 5220 which sounds very good. All working beautifully and all lamps working etc. I'd sell if interested but I'm in London UK
