If you have the opportunity to buy a tuner Marantz Esotec st 7 for 680 bucks do you go...have you got more info about this strange marantz very hard to find the only info I ve found is on a web site of ben:http://www.classic-audio.com/marantz/mindex.html

For $680 I'd crawl over broken glass on my hands and knees. From what I've come to understand that tuner is everybit as good as the 2130 or 10B and IMHO looks way better. I bet you could use it for 20 yrs and then triple your investment.

Hi Dominic;

Only know what you already pointed to on Ben's site. It sure is one great looking tuner, at least in the gold trim color. If indeed it's a repackaged 2130 then it's performance should be right there with the very best of the classics.

If you don't bite on that offer you might leave a message with Angela on this board as she is trying to score a Marantz tuner and could probalby use some help with here first vintage hunt.

Just kidding Angela, I know you probably can carry your own water..

The tuner is a 2130 in new wraps. Never had my hands on any but did get to look at the Esotec power amp. They tried to go retro to the 9b with the removable panel.

The amp needed a set of outputs but got to look inside. It is difficult to impress me but, I was.
