I found this in a magazine from a few years ago. Was this thing ever produced? I could find no model number in the magazine article. Well, it could have been an ad, I can't read the language. Any way, it looks like a concert hall delay system with a room corrector. Perhaps other goodies as well. Found in Stereo Sound Winter '91 #97.

If someone could supply a model number I could do a web search on it.

That my friend is the amazing Marantz AX-1000 Audio Computer !
From the whizzkids (primarily Ken Ishiwata) at Marantz Japan.

The forerunner of the current digital room equalizers, it could perform digital room correction, digitally decode and simulate surround sound and display diagnostic functions.

I had the pleasure of playing with one back in the early 90s and it was incredible, so was the price, ~$10,000NZD. It wasn't officially offered for sale but circulated around Marantz dealers , who used it to demonstrate Marantz' digital prowness.

I saw one for sale about 6 mths ago on a Japanese website, they are still worth a pretty penny.
