Marantz Model 27

Hi, I'm new to AK but love reading the info on this site. Looks like alot of great forums. I was given a marantz 27 and know some about electronics, and have taken basic electronics courses. when I turned it on it hummed loud through all inputs. no sound just hum and it doesnt increase with volume up or down. Any help would be appreciated

With a hum in both channels, I look to the power supply first. Bad capacitors, bridge rectifier, etc. But if your not getting any sound with the hum there are more than likely other issues. Blown output transisters, emitter resistors, etc.
