Marantz TT Strobe

Stark

I know absolutely nothing
Hi,

I have a 6300 with a burnt out strobe. From my reading these are hard to find, has a source been found for them yet?

If not are there instructions anywhere on how to rig an alternate solution?

I am new to this so need some clear instructions so here's hoping!

Cheers!

I'm holding one of these parts (new) in my hand. Marantz P/N IN21200010. This is really just a neon bulb. It's a bit longer, with longer electrodes, but it glows orange, and it's hung across the primary of the power transformer with a 10K resistor (1/2 W) in series with it.

Methinks you could sub it with just about anything. Try this:

These are standard NE-2 bulbs, need a 150-ohm resistor in series with them. That will be pretty bright. You can experiment with larger values to get the brightness you want. Or see if it will glow with the 10K that's already there.

I also have a 6300 tt and am looking for the little plate or decal that goes on top of the plastic strobe lamp housing. I think the decal has the different speeds printed on it. Does anyone know where to get this from?
