What about the 6350? I have one and it sounds pretty good, but not quite as popular as the 6300. I wanted to go through it and clean it up and get it going real good, is it worth it?

Definitely. Not only will it sound pretty good, but it's a sought-after table that people will buy at a premium.

Sweet I need to get replacement feet for it. I am gonna get another system going and will use the 6350 as my TT.

If you find a Marantz in working or near-working shape, buy it. The things go for a big premium on eBay so if you don't like it you can flip it easily.

That is for sure. I have a 6100 and I really like it, but my Pioneer PL 518 is a nicer unit and 6100 has a higher value. The Marantz tax is levied on their turntables for sure.

I too have a PL 518, I bought at a garage sale this summer. Bought replacement feet and shined the dust cover up. This is a very nice sounding TT

It is a heavy sucker too! I have found all of them have feet that have disintegrated. I bought the rubber with sorbothane tipped feet and they seem to be fine. I had a Sansui 881 that the guy with the turntable wanted to trade for. He traded the TT plus gave me $40 for the Sansui.......a decent trade.

It's all about good karma mate. Sounds like a decent trade to me too.

With all the talk about my 6350, I took it down stairs to put in my loop of testers, when I did I saw this that I forgot that I had. A Marantz 6100 Hahaha

I have a problem.... I have these 4, 2 downstairs one next to me and one at a summer cabin here in Wyoming. So that is 8 all together. All bought at garage sales for under $10 each. I cannot not buy stereo equipment when I see it sitting in someones garage not being used. The Marantz 6100 I remember $5 sticker said it did not work, took it home saw the belt was deteriorated, new belt sounds killer. I need to start cleaning these up and going through them and trading them or selling them. But I hate eBay, not only for their fees but their buyers too at times too.

The dustocvers alone go for $100 on Ebay. I got my 6100 for $25 and put a new needle on the Stanton cart and a fresh belt and it runs fine.

The Pioneer lives in the bedroom.

Here is my main system, Dynaco ST-70 through a homemade tube pre amp (on the top there). Next to the st-70 is a dynakit pas 2, I am beginning on plans to go through it. A J A Michell TT, didn't get that one cheap.... haha, bought the little pre off the same fella. Good dude, I still call on him for advice. I went to a garage sale last spring and the people had a crappy turntable receiver combo, so I asked if they had any LP's for sale. The guy took me down stairs to show me what he had, I saw those Altec Lansing model 14's the pioneer sx 980 I told him I would give him $500 for those right then, ok said he through in a PL 440 and a box of lp's. The reel 2 reel some gal at work retired and was moving, heard I liked stereo equipment and gave me that Akai, wow I thought records sounded good. That thing sings beautifully.

This is in the same room just a little further down, that Marantz 6100 for $5 a Stromberg Carlson Stereo 8 integrated tube amp (sounds so good) and Altec Lansing 890 boleros, bought both off my uncle in Denver who goes around pretty much picking at garage sales. He stashes the good stereo stuff aside for me, that's how he makes his living. He buys and resales stuff at local antique shops that he helps run.

I have a SX 680, it is a sweet little receiver, the case is only ok (even when new) but it is a nice sounding unit. In the living room I have Marantz Imperial 6 speakers for the two channel system. In the bedroom I use Nova 6s and Polk RT25is.
