Markus Ak Day Resheduled To June 7th ! !

Hello Mr. H,

Oooh, thank you Sir! It will indeed be nice to see you again as well.
I believe we last saw one another in N.H. Autumn 2007 ?

Regards,
Tom aka SixCats!

I'm in on this adventure so taunt that Mark :D

I don't know what I will be bringing but I'll think 'bout it some. Any interest in Maggies? Someone needs a very large amp though if we do that.

OOoooo . . . maggies WOULD be sweet / / /

biggest amp I got in the house is a Marantz 1152DC - 75 wpc / 8ohms / / 150 wpc / 4 ohms :scratch2:

also, between Kutztown, and some giveaways to those in need (some kids of friends, etc . .) the orphanage has some vacancies :D it's been a crazy few weeks, so I havent really posted or updated this thread - I'll try and update it with a headcount and food list this weekend.

NEXT weekend is Blair's 10 year reunion at mt Holyoke, where I'll be rockin' the house with SIxcats' gifted Karlson 15's loaded with some Altec 418B's scored from Kutztown, and my DIY KLH OB line arrays. I've been fine tuning this setup, and y'all will hear it on 'the big day' suffice to say you can hear it blocks away right now at half power - MArantz 1152DC on the Karlsons, Magnavox 6BQ5 PP tube amp on the line arrays. Active crossover at 100 Hz . . . WOO DOGGIE ! an ipod never sounded so good . . . .

LOOKING FORWARD TO HAVING EVERYONE HERE !!

Markus isn't pumped -

DUDE - I'm so committed I gave away a couch and a chair to make room for all you guys and your audio gear ! MEH - they came with the house - is there such a thing as couch karma ?? :thmbsp: yes . . . I might be crazy . . .

The Li'l woman and I are definitely attending!

I have eggs (2 kinds!) pickling as we speak, as well as a batch of my "Little Embers" (Smoked cocktail wieners, pickled in Sriracha chili sauce!) and a little pickled Vidalia onion relish that will be making the trip, as well as some home-made hot dog sauce, per your request Mark!

Can't wait! Should be a blast! Mark, let us know what else we can bring, to make things easier on you and Blair!

Gee, I hope I'm not the only one who likes pickled eggs.... I'm gonna look silly eating them all by myself! :D Pickled eggs and Saltines, with an ice cold beer, is one of life's simple pleasures, IMHO!

Well Deli, that makes your suggestion of a subsidiary fest even more of a good idea for those of us unable to make it that weekend.

Jim came by last night for a visit, took him over to the local BBQ place, cranked some tunes, and had Jim sample the pickled eggs and hot pickled wienies that are for the get-together at Mark's place.

I had a nice time, the BBQ was awesome (Always is at this place!) and Jim took home a couple of goodies with him. :thmbsp:

hey-hey!!

Thank you Jim, but with your driving, I'll arrive with my upper half busted to crap as well...

:D

i swear ill keep it under the radar:D im actually a step 12 driver :thmbsp:

with people riding with me, i drive like an old man- :smoke: i have to anyways a big thirsty v-8 will suck down the go-go juice, quicker then i can let out the pickled egg fumes lmao

The best beer for pickled anything is cheap beer, ice cold, served with crackers or a nice crusty bread. Think Pabst Blue Ribbon, or something along those lines. Don't waste an expensive Micro-Brew on pickled eggs, unless that's what you prefer!

Jimmy taste-tested a regular pickled egg and and a fire wienie yesterday, so he can give you an unbiased opinion of them. They will be even better by the time the 7th rolls around!

Hard part is not eating them myself before then! :D

I'll be happy to share the place with you guys!

http://www.lestersbbq.com/

I've had many of the menu items, and all well done well, and delicious! Even the side dishes are awesome, some of the best Collard greens I've had anywhere. Haven't tried the BBQ Chicken yet, although I have had the pit smoked wings (Yummy!)

You can get your ribs wet or dry, the pulled pork is amazing, and the best brisket I've had anywhere! They have about 6 - 7 kinds of home-made sauce in squeeze bottles on the counter, even hot Habenero vinegar for the brave or insane! Of course, they have a Carolina vinegar sauce that is excellent!

They have daily specials, beer, and all kinds of classic automobilia plastered all over the walls, even a cruise night on Fridays!

I used to work at the place many years ago, when it was a McDonald's. (No, I was not a fry-guy, I worked after hours, doing maintenance) They closed it, because the town would not let them put in a drive-thru. It was a Greek restaurant for a long time, before it became Lester's.

As good, if not better, than any of the BBQ places most around here would call "the Best".... Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area!
