Marquette Stereo with Speakers

Since I am looking for some well-priced, nice-sounding speakers, I thought I would run this past you all for opinions. I like the look of the boxes, although the seller doesn't really say much about the speakers. The TT would be a fun project to see if I could get it running, but that's not what interests me in this ad....

Don't think many would stop on this item during a "speaker" search. The normal question on this type of item is "is it tube?" Others like you, and myself, are intrigued by older phonographs. (I certainly have my share) Very rare for most consoles and phonographs to have speakers that command front row conversation. If speakers are indeed your primary need, I'd say pass.
