Very sad news indeed. Just found my vinyl copy of “The Very Worst of The Jefferson Airplane.” Will be playing the crap out of it tonight! RIP Marty............

RIP I didn't realize he'd had so many health problems in recent years.

I'm so sad I missed seeing Paul and Marty in concert and now they're both gone.

R.I.P. Marty, thanks man.

Today, I feel like pleasing you
More than before
Today, I know what I want to do
But I don't know what for
To be living for you
Is all I want to do
To be loving you
It'll all be there
When my dreams come true

Today, you'll make me say
That I somehow have changed
Today, you'll look into my eyes
I'm just not the same
To be any more than all I am
Would be a lie
I'm so full of love
I could burst apart
And start to cry

Today, everything you want
I swear it all will come true
Today, I realize how much
I'm in love with you
With you standing here
I could tell the world
What it means to love
To go on from here
I can't use words
They don't say enough
Please, please listen to me
It's taken so long to come true
It's all for you, all for you

Songwriters: Marty Balin / Paul Kantner

I saw him a couple of years ago, with a acoustic guitarist. Probably 2015. And I was at Winterland when he rejoined Jefferson Starship for the first time in 1975. His voice was still good in 15 but was great in 75. In 75 he was reluctant to sing with the band, I think that there was talk about drinking problems - especially on the road. He sung a few songs, Miracles being one.

RIP

RIP marty

Marty didn't write this one, but he's singing it.

I hope Grace is doing okay.
She sobered up eventually, retired from the music biz & turned to art full time quite a while back.
At least, that's my recollection, informed by posts by the late "LWR" (Larry Rogers) at audioasylum.
