MC275 and KT tube family question...

I've read where the KT88, KT90 and KT100 tubes are considered "interchangeable".

Would this be true of their use in a new MC275 or is the MC275 limited to the 88's?

What about the new KT120's. Can they be used in a new MC275?

As always, thanks for your replies.

Cheers,

Bill

The answers, Bill, are in past threads here at AK. Personally, I'd suggest you keep closer to the KT-88/6550s where possible.

The KT-120s, however, are going to be pushing the filament current limits of the power supply and I'd not suggest that route for this reason.

Cheers,

David

Ron-C has stated that one should not run the KT-90/120 in the MC275. Designed for and should be run only with KT-88/6550 power tubes.
