Yeah these are now going for over 2000 dollars, but the black faced units usually go for more than the silver faced ones. Don't know how good these amps are for good tight bass as it has a pretty low damping factor.

Let me assure you the 2500's have plenty of bass;and it's good tight bass at that. I also thought that a high damping factor meant good bass; but living with a 2500 has caused me to think of df to be a meaningless spec.

Anyone grab that big mac yet?
 
One thing I'll say for Macs, they hit their ratings.
If this says 500 watts, that's 500 watts for sure.
I used to have a 2200 for the bass bins of a rental PA.
The 2500 replaced it. I loved everything about it except picking it up.
