McIntosh 75th Anniversary Special Releases?

With next year (2024) being the 75th anniversary of McIntosh, what are your guesses for any special releases? If the 70th anniversary is any indication, we might be able to expect an announcement in early December '23.

Maybe a MC275 75th Anniversary model? Or a C75 tube preamp?

That would be awesome. Maybe a MC2300 Mk II with the retro homage look of the MC3500 Mk II?
 
How about a pair of XR 290's MK II designed and built in the US with out metal domed tweeters and midranges. .

UP dated MEN 220 MK II.

Up dated MT-10 with a straight linear tone arm with a speed control knob on the front and a more precise digital read out under the VU meter.

An updated MC 602.

I still think the MC 611 should have been a MC 851 for a better fit between the 462 and the 1.25 K. But who needs the 1000 watt peak capability of the 611.

The 2001K amp needs upgrading for sure.

The 3500 MK II should have been rated at 500 to give that big Audio Research some competition . It should have been rack mountable with a white meter option, too.
 
The people in charge at McIntosh need to be reading this forum. This should be the first stop for the marketing types that decide what to build.

They don't manufacture the MT-10 themselves so I'd guess that one won't be a consideration for MKII status. Probably wouldn't be profitable enough compared to reissues of items that they do manufacture in Binghamton. Just a thought.
 
Mcintosh should be the distributors of SME the current distributors are marking up the prices to high.
 
Yes, I know, Clear Audio Builds the Turntable, thats why I recommended a linear arm as Clear Audio Builds 3 different appropriate models, TT 5, TT3, and TT2.
 
Since they’re still making tuners, I’d like to see an updated reissued MR78. Classic styling (MR78 / MR87) with the benefits of the latest tech and digital display (MR89). Bring back the illuminated pre-digital tuner display. Hell, get Richard to help design it.

While they’re at it, how about a combination MEN220 / 8-band equalizer / 4-band expander (DBX 4BX style) compander / noise reduction / variable loudness / HF / LF filters system. Since most of us have vinyl rigs again, could be useful… Not saying I could afford either (and I have the RM modified MR78), but…
 
Since they have discontinued the MXA80 mini system plus the MCT80 SACD transport I wonder if they will release a 75th anniversary all-in-one system like they did for their 60th anniversary?
 
Not me, I’m happy with new design SS products. If I want vintage I’ll buy vintage, not “looks like vintage, ... somewhat”. Tubes too, the distortion/harmonics of tubes is lovely when vintage, but not in new product. JMO.
