That's what happens when you use in-efficient speakers not designed for HT sound reproduction.


You know they didn't use the big line arrays or there would be some MC 2k amps in the mix. With a MC 611 capable of reaching very close to a 1000 watts speakers really have to be very carefully designed. Even the big M9 Magicos are only rated 500 watts RMS per-section Bi amped. But then they use dual 18 inch stand alone subs with 4 to 6000 watts each that can produce 136 db. If you are using the smaller M6's.

Klipsch Jubilee LF section is rated above 400 watts peak deilvering over 105 db 1 watt, thats close to 130 db, and the top section with 100 watts will deliver close to the same levels with 110 db sensitivity. Thats why I think two MC 225's or four MC 30's would be right for me. As I prefer line arrays my XR 28's with 600 watts a channel are more than enough for me. Even playing Telarc recordings with their special effects. I am do to play Telarc's 1812 Overture real soon.
