MCS/Pioneer Turntable on eBay?

Check out this auction on eBay[MCS 6500] and tell me what you think. Out right lies or just stretching the truth to make a sell or just don`t know any better? And I quote:

"Modular Components Systems (MCS) is the brand name of audio equipment sold by the JC Penneys stores and was actually produced by Pioneer under contract with JC Penneys"

"This is a precision Belt Drive system. The Quality surpasses most machines by Technics, Yamaha, Sony, Kenwood and other competing brand names."

Not a bad looking TT at all but I think some people may be mislead by this sellers words.

Yeah, that description is pretty much a crock. That table looks more like a Sanyo/Fisher than any Pioneer. It may be a perfectly okay machine but its value is minimal given that it's NOT a Pioneer or one of the other major brands but is a BRAND X MCS, no matter who the original maker was.

the quality surpasses? nah, more like is the same quality.

Seller is out to make dough.

but its not a bad table, but its no dual 1219 by any means.

there was a hitachi clone of the same turntable. I think it was a HT350 or 355.

I like the looks of the MCS 6500. I don`t know about the quality.

I have a MCS 3125 receiver and it is one great receiver who ever made it. Also have a set of MCS speakers that sound good. I think they may have been made by Technic.

Anyway I don`t know if I would have paid $76 for the TT. I nearly bid on it but I really don`t need another table.
