Metal (and that 80's stuff that trys) Car Mix...CD

jdcglasnost

EPI Tweeter Lover Boy
Getting some music together for a mixed CD for the car. Looking for a few suggestions. Here's what I've got;

-Twisted Sister
-Slayer
-Mastodon
-Megadeth
-Anthrax
-Maybe something from Zombie, depends on the mood
-Maybe Metallica
-Black Sabbath
-Iron Maiden
-Night Ranger (they actually do rock out one song)
-Krokus (Smelly Nelly or Mr. 69 is a must)
-AC/DC maybe
and that's off the top of my head, I've got more in mind but I have to pick who and convert it...
Wait
-RATT

See I keep coming up with some! Any year of metal is fine, even the "softer" metal, hard rock will be fine, just as long as it fits in a Mustang doing nothing illegal down the road :thmbsp:.

My 80's metal and hair CD has a bunch of your list (I went with Midnight Maniac for Krokus) and has

Great White (Rock Me, not Once Bitten)
Poison (Talk Dirty)
Babys (Midnight Rendezvous)
Ozzy (Bark at the Moon)
Sammy Hagar (Heavy Metal)
and for a touch of nostalgia Autograph

It's great disc for hitting the highway with the windows down, especially on my way to hockey. :)

I don't see any Judas Priest! ..or Motorhead...or Scorpions...or Blue Oyster Cult...C'MON MAN!!!!

How did I know Priest would come up when I saw your name? :) That was an egregious oversight on my part. Turbo Lover has to be one of the best driving songs ever.

How about some Opeth, or better yet for the overall musical sounds and craftsmanship, some Dreamtheater. Also, though more rock, toss some Joe Satriani in there, like War from The Extremist album, or Ice 9 from Surfing with the Alien.
If you want to keep with the old school sound, try some Testament and Exodus as well.

You said 'Saxon' twice..
"I like Saxon."
(apologies to the cast and crew of 'Blazing Saddles')

I have and agree it's quite tasty.

The Nadurra was brought over by a friend this past Saturday night as a "house gift" for a dinner party I had. Everyone brings over wine and scotch when they come to my dinner parties. The wine usually is gone by the end of the night and we end drinking various scotch's so still had half a bottle left.

Nadura is decent. But if you like that, try this:
