Hi folks....long time reader, first post here....
I just ordered a McIntosh MHA150 Headphone Amp along with their MHP1000 Headphones.
The Amp is 50 watts per channel and can run speakers as well.
I'll simply use an i-Phone or i-Pad to feed music straight in; primarily due to laziness as well as having tens of thousands of songs ripped at slowest rate from new CD's into i-Tunes library.
The XR50 Speakers seem very appealing to me based upon quality, size, and sound....
However, their rating is 75 ~ 300 watts per channel....
Is there really any reason NOT to buy the XR50....(based upon wpc)?
I'm actually excited about keeping overall sizes to a minimum these days.
I'm also considering an MTI100 all-in-one Turntable with a second pair of XR50 speakers as a standalone system in another part of my house, but it also puts out 50 watts.
All thoughts and opinions welcome.....
Thanks!
Mark
