never seen one mint...but its a great album..some of his most interesting music imho.. its up there with 'bitches brew' and 'on the corner'

I did luck out and get a great copy for $8. It's funny when I look up prices in the Goldmine Guide, stuff is never even close. It either sells for more, or less. I have looked on the Bay for a while, and this LP always has heavy ringwear. 2004 Golmine Jazz Guide lists a NM Copy at $40. Seems like as usual, somebody has got carried away. Now if you want a nice copy, watch them start to pop up after this goes for a high price. But if they don't, then they may really be tough to find in nice shape.

Mosaic has also released a boxed set including sessions that is more than worth checking out. High quality vinyl and cd are available. Great record!

The Mosaic Box for In A Silent Way went for $40 on Ebay a couple of days ago. Top grade vinyl from the 50's, and 60's is very tough to find for the most part. Just about any record collector will tell you that. But there is a lot of stuff that is way undervalued by Goldmine. I have not been to a Large Record Show in ages. Most small shows are a waste of time. There are exceptions though. Fleamarkets, and Yardsales are the best bet. Bitches Brew is another one that is tough to find in high grade. I am talking about the first pressing. Not the fourth.

They need to give this one a 200 Gram release.

The original 360 Pressing is on par with a 180G. You did say 200G though. I guess you would not want to play the original that often. I played mine once.

Agreed. Keep hitting garage sales. Part of the fun is the hunt!

About ten years ago Columbia had a bunch of their albums out for sale and I bought one new. I wouldn't be surprised if this is one of them.
