Most unexpected find~

What odd place did you find and end up dragging home a piece of equipment?

Mine has to be when I went with a friend to clean out a loft of a barn that had no stairs, just a rickety ladder. In this loft was dust, old chairs and scraps of lumber...and to my amazement, a 1937 Philco 15 tube console radio ! Who ever put this thing up there must have used a winch because it had to weigh 150 lbs. Yes we got it out via ropes through a window. Turned out to be a scarce high fidelity model and ended up selling it at a radio auction for $385.

What kind of horn is that, a JBL or Western Electric. The driver appears to be a JBL or DuKane. Those are really sweet. I've been looking for something like that for a project I have.

That's a great story.
I would of had to keep it...it's worth the money just to be able to re-tell it every time someone sees it.

years ago i spied a laser disc player on the side of the road. i stopped and picked it. a couple of years pass and im dating a new girl i met through a friend. we go to her moms house. its the house i found the laser disc machine propped u against the tree at years earlier.
