I'm also curious if it was intentional.... I have CANTON CT1000 and coils are also mounted with screws. I wanted to make an external XO... but the questions arouse... Should I keep them with screws? Or no? Anyone?

For air core inductors, I use a combination of hot glue and zip ties:

If the weight warrants it, I add upright wooden supports for the vertically oriented inductors:
