MP3 Programs

Can anyone recommend a good MP3 encoder program?

I had bought a Rio MP3 player for my son years ago to use when he jogs, and it came with a MP3 software, but you can only install it 3 times. I built him a new gaming PC for Christmas and he went to install the encoder, their site said he had already exceeded his 3 times. So Im looking to buy a decent program so he can put some of his CDs into his Rio player.

Any suggestions?

I just use Media Player's rip function.

Get Winamp (here). It does everything you want it to do and it has a cool skins like this one...

(it can be colapsed to different sizes with different components, like RTR to tape deck)

EAC (Exact Audio Copy) with the LAME encoder.

Not the most flash appearance, but they're best ripping program and encoder, IMO.

Just downloaded EAC and dropped in the latest LAME stuff.
