MX121 Reset Problem

Goodoz

Hello All - I recently lost HDMI video throughput from sources feeding the HDMI ports on tmy MX121. As for troubleshooting thus far, I've tried new HDMI cable, tried different source HDMI ports (all mapping in the software looks good), tried remapping SAT port to position six (AUX HDMI) and fed DirecTV box directly into TV HDMI (all is fine there). The 121 still gets its IP address ok and receives/decodes network audio just fine (JRIVER coming from wireless laptop). Here's my question....the only thing left I can think of is a processor reset. However, when attempting this process via the buttons on the front of the unit (page 49 operation manual), I get nothing. The power button is one of the three to be pushed simultaneously for processor reset...all that happens is power up, or power down. Does anyone know of another way to force a processor reset? (I also pulled the top cover off and was unable to see any batteries on board level...but it's pretty tight in there). Any help is appreciated as I am not the original owner of the unit and McIntosh "probably" won't honor the existing warranty which is still in effect.

OP what was the resolution of this? Did you need a new HDMI board???

I have the exact same situation.

I would call Chuck at McIntosh. I believe that a firmware update fixed this problem. You may have "automatic updates" turned off on yours.
