My devised some would say crap system that sounds just great to me....

Pair of homemade cabinets that EV12trx's came out of. Bozak B199c 12 inch woofers. EV Sentry two way crossovers. Altec 806A/811B sectoral horns sitting on top of the cabinets.

Just amazing to my ears. Every note exactly sounds and is where it should be.

Pushed presently by a Rotel RB-2000 main and Yamaha C80 preamp. Music to my ears.

Nice! I ran 806/811 horns on top of some Karlson cabinets with E-wave crossovers. Powered with a Dynaco SCA-80 it was a sweet combo.

Its a smaller cabinet for the Bozak for sure. A friend of mine has her 302's with the tweeters toward the top in 6.5 cu ft cabinets and it really allows the single woofer to reach the next rung in the ladder of performance. Bozaks woofers work well up to 800hz for two and 3 way systems though I prefer the old traditional lower frequencies. Don't compromise your sound trying to crossover at 500 HZ. Thats where horn honkiness can creep in to the picture.
