My experience with Needle Doctor

..........The customer service rep may have been following training and company policy when they failed to take a hint. He may have been trained to respond to someone asking, but not to offer unless asked............

Needle Doctor has promptly refunded me $15 via Paypal.

Good for you for getting it, but you did have to come right out and ask for it. My comment above still could be true. Another interesting thing to watch for, is whether they fix the website. They aren't on my buddy list until that happens.

I've have great luck with needle doctor. I ordered a replacement stylus for my Goldring 2100, a 2200 stylus, but they were out of stock so they just sent a whole 2200 cart! Not a bad deal. Any time I've had an issue they've solved the problem quickly and to my satisfaction.

good - then they acknowledge what you paid for was not what you got and they stepped in after you called them on it and intend to make it right.
Wonder if any of them ever look here at AK

Mistakes do happen, people not updating the site as quickly as they should. I do have an amusing story about ND. Years ago I was using a Sumiko Pearl cartridge. I needed a replacement stylus. I called and ordered one. I received a Black Pearl stylus (spherical). I called back told them what happened and they told me they would send the proper one.I received a Sumiko Blackbird cartridge at that time an $800 dollar cartridge. I called them back and asked for a supervisor. He came on looked at my account and when I told him I got the Blackbird he thought I said another Black Pearl stylus ($49). When I told him what I got there was silence for a few seconds (I guess while he composed himself) and told me they were having issues with an individual in shipping who I assume was no longer employed after my call. I sent the cartridge back (they paid) and got the proper stylus finally.

Reading this thread I never thought there was any nefarious business going down by either party, glad it got sorted out, but quite honestly...

It sounds like they messed up, admitted it, and you had the opportunity to have a refund, but you chose not to take it, yet still wanted to keep the stylus?

You absurdly chose not to take a refund, yet you have the audacity to keep the stylus!? Any warm blooded American would have refused the refund and sent back the stylus anyhow! How dare you. How dare you.

Just for the record, here's my two cents: I'm not what you'd call a regular customer of Needle Doctor but the few times I've purchased items from them, they came in well packaged and arrived rather quickly. Also, they've been around as long as I can remember and you don't stay in business that long by screwing over people.

I'd suggest giving them a chance to set the matter straight. I'd bet that they would.

I just checked my Paypal account and this note was with the refund;

I sincerely apologize for the misleading information on our site, and also for way your concern was dismissed. If you need to discuss the matter further, call 1-800-229-0644, ask for Pat. We appreciate your business. Best Regards, Needledoc.

I had recent thoughts of getting a ATN12S - now I see it says "No longer available". Figures...:headscrat
