My G-6700 need a nice wood case

Hey Sansui fans,

Im looking for a nice condition of top wood case for my G-6700. Because my G-6700 have several drills holes on the top. I dont know why idots guy do that??? I bought this receiver last summer, because its works fine. Faceplate coditions looks fine too.

only I need to get a nice wood case for my G-6700. I believe G-6700 and G-7700 are the same size of wood case.

You could strip the veneer off your case, fill the holes, then re-veneer with real wood veneer.:yes:

cool to know! is anyone already done that at this site? I like to someone to show me how to remove the old veneer off and then re-veneer with real wood veneer.

Many have done it. Maybe not with a G-6700.

What is the name of wood on my G-6700? I think mine is called rosewood?

The original is a simulated rosewood.

I don't know if rosewood veneer would finish as red or as dark as the vinyl.

The Premium or flat cut Italian looks closest to me.
