Here is my modest setup in my home office (working remotely)
I listen mainly to digital format music, I like (hard) rock, blues, sometimes more electro/pop; mostly FLACs CD/SACD
I have a MacBook Pro 2016 which is silent most of the time, connected to a Cambridge DacMagic 100 with USB to allow 192Khz sampling rate.
The integrated amp is a Myryad z142 (upgraded yesterday from a Rotel RA-930-AX I loved)
The speakers are Monitor Audio Bronze BX2, I love them too and its a gift from my dad but they are very sharp, almost too bright in the treble to listen and amplifier match is not simple I've found. They're on temporary stack of books stands to raise them off the desk but I'm looking for something more appealing to sit them.
They are the only part I haven't changed in the last 24 months.
I have a Sansui FR-D3 automatic turntable for when I want to listen to some LPs (I dont have that much vinyl, pretty new stuff for me
)
I enjoy it every day for now, but tastes change in audio subjective world and the room is far from being great listening place as I have dry wall on both sides of the desk.
What do you think of this stack ? Any suggestions on possible improvements without breaking the bank ?
