I keep the DAC powered on because of the off switch on the back & since I have the WiiM ultra on also for the clock feature…doesn’t run hotAnd it all fits. How do you keep the MIMIR DAC?

I have tube amps with switches that are on the back. I got tired of reaching over hot tubes to turn them off. So I bought remote controled Bluetooth outlets for them. Plug the outlets in the wall, plug the amp into them, and use the remote to turn them on and off. They work great. The SU-1 DQC I bought has a on/standby switch. It never really turns off all the way. My Bluetooth receiver is on all the time. I don't worry about small SS devices staying on though. They usually don't draw much current anyway. I should get another Bluetooth outlets for my tube preamp to save the power switch.I keep the DAC powered on because of the off switch on the back & since I have the WiiM ultra on also for the clock feature…doesn’t run hot

They're great for vintage equipment with hard to find, or hard to get at power switches that can get flaky over years of use.
I pretty much gave up on all vintage equipment. All but one of my tube amps and two preamps, I have too many, I built from scratch, or kit. Nothing except a 70's Marantz tuner is old in my main system. I did keep one Marantz SS integrated amp and SS power amp I had restored. I have various smaller tube based stystems setup on shelving around my bench. Other than an old console amp I moddified, everything else is new. But even that console amp got stripped to the chassis and transformers. Everything else in it is new.Nice … all my tube amps (fisher x100 Scott type 299 leak trough line & a few more are in the closet…no more techs in my life
