My New Toy, Hakko FX-888

My new toy, a Hakko FX-888 solder station. With all the talk of recapping I decided I needed one of these. I've already replaced the memory cap on my T-80 tuner, it now works great.

I've been practicing on this old Phillips 212 board.

The green thing is a spring loaded solder sucker, get the solder hot and flowing, push the button and it's gone.

Nice soldering unit, also great to have such a work bench. I live in a condo so my dining room table serves dual purpose.

I have the predecessor to this, the 936. It's a great unit. :yes:
