My 18 y/o son "discovered" my old LPs I had stored away and has now gotten "the bug." The old BIC turntable I had, in the basement, is possibly beyond salvage, and we just acquired a Rotel RP-4400, but to be honest, it's been over twenty years since I've even thought about a turntable.

So, here I am. And, hopefully, my son will be before long. We need to learn
and what we've gotten ourselves into.

So again, howdy from North Carolina!

Where in Nawthcalina ? We got a BUNCH of fine folks from there...I'm right over the hill in Rogersville, south of Kingsport/Johnson City...
 
That's awesome. My teenage son is also into LP's just as I am. You have come to the right place, glad to have you here.

The BIC is totally salvageable! I've managed to get two resurrected so far... not so hard. Let us know if we can help step you thru it...
