Nad C545BEE or Pioneer PD91????

Looking to upgrade my cd player but not sure which would be the better the Nad C545BEE or the Pioneer PD 91.The Nad is priced at $275 and the Pioneer is priced at $500.Could also go to a new unit but not sure which brand would be best in the $500. range.I'm using a old philips CD-921 right now.Any suggestions would help,thanks
