Need a center channel

Well I'm finally putting together a decent little system, and I need a center channel to finish it off. I have Energy C200B's for my fronts, and I just got a pair of Polks for the rears (not sure on the model.. look nice though). I've never put together a 5.1 system before so I'm curious what to do for the center. I was thinking I get one of the Energy C series just to match my fronts, but I'm unsure if it really makes a difference. I'm thinking I should be able to pick something up on CL or eBay for around $50?

Ok, great! Glad I asked. Does it make a difference if I'll be setting everything up with Audyssey? Or is there an inherent voicing with these speakers that should match even with Audyssey doing it's magic?

If it does still matter, it appears Energy made 2 C series center channels. The C-c50 and the C-C100. Between these two, does it matter, or is it just about matching the same series speakers?

Get the one you can more afford. They are both voiced the same and I have a friend that recently put together a system with the smaller center and bookshelves.

The Audyssey will more correct for delay and volume, not make a Polk speaker sound like an Energy speaker.

I'd suggest the C-C100 since it can be picked up for a reasonable price. The center channel speaker is Very Important if you want to understand dialog during a quite passage in a movie. The C-C100 would be best for this because speech (especially male voices) often contain much low frequencies that don't get to a sub crossed over at 80 hz but will be produced by a more substantial center channel speaker.

Energy is a fine choice for speakers BTY. I have many pairs of them and have been quite pleased with the results. I use their RC-LCR center channel speaker that with its 2 x 6.5" woofers actually outperforms the RC-30 towers I use for L & R speakers.

Indeed just did that and bought the 100 on ebay for $85. More than I was hoping to pay, but it seems these aren't all that easy to find. The smaller 50's were selling in the 50-70 range and no history on the 100's, so I'm hoping it was a decent deal. I really don't know much about the speaker as I didn't do any research, but I know the C200B's I have are great, so I'm sure it'll be a fine match.
